Hired Sims to come out look at my pines, they sent a young man named Levi who also works as a nurse.
Came as scheduled. Inspection $215.00
In speaking with him I asked if my problem was lack of water as we had very minimal rain this year. He proceeded to tell me we had as much rain as the year prior and that my problem was spider mites and that he could treat 30 of my trees to the tune of $1,500.00. He spent a few minutes shaking my branches to see if any spider mites fell. I saw 2 & no webbing. He also-stated that there was a new disease attacking pines but needed to test for it cost 250.00 He recommended saying if positive would need to cut my 30-50 yr trees down as there is no cure.
I became very suspicious as I know we had minimal rain this year.
I called a Master Arborist (Gary Walker)
Who came out to inspect my trees. He said my problem was water and nutrients not spider mites. Currently giving my trees nutrients suggested by him along with deep watering. I called Sims let them know the results never offered to refund me for Levi"s inspection. If I had followed Levi"s suggestions my trees would of died.
