When we were due our quarterly service, we called Paramount to tell them we had also just started having an ant problem in the kitchen. Jamal serviced us, and said as he left to call if we needed anything between quarters. Within a day we had a long trail of ants in the kitchen again, so we called Paramount, asking for another visit. When my call was answered, I was told that we could not be seen for another 10 days -- in Florida, we were used to next-day, if not same-day, service and our tech would bring out ant bait/traps. I expressed my concern that that was a long time to fight ants, and was told to use soap & water cleanup, or vacuum them up, in the meantime. It was not until I asked if we could get ant bait/traps anyway, that I was told that what Jamal had sprayed needed time to be carried back to the queen, and that by law he could not come spray again for at least 7 days. I would suggest the answer be reversed -- even to say "I'm sorry you're still dealing with ants" and then first explain the queen/frequency of spraying law. And it all ringed true - within about 8 days the ants had abated, and we cancelled the follow-up appointment. It is just a matter of expectations, on our part -- we were used to a different way of handling ants in Florida, and of course wanted the ants to go away from our dog's dishes ASAP !!
