Phil Hoback came to my property to assess my bufo toad problem. He offered a solution, which I was not very happy about, but was willing to try. It involved placing boxes along my pool and property, all visible, which would supposedly catch the bufo toads. I asked when the boxes would be checked, and he said once a week. I asked about toads caught, left in the boxes to die, causing not only smell but seemed inhumane. Also, I have two dogs, so again, very reluctant. Phil told me not to worry, if I was not happy, we would part ways. He gave me a contract to sign, which had a cancellation fee if I decided to discontinue service. I told him I was not comfortable with that, but he said that it was not a problem and I would not be charged. In the end, I tried the service and paid for what was done, but it did not work. The toads were not going into the trap and I wasn't happy with boxes all over my property. I cancelled service. Once I received the cancellation charge, I called to dispute, but was given the run around. I asked to speak with Phil, but never could get him on the phone. I left a dozen messages and always told Phil would get the message but he was unavailable to speak with me. This became frustrating as I could not understand why he was ignoring me. I finally disputed with my credit card company and won the dispute. That was in 2019. In September 2020, the amount of the cancellation fee was sent to a collection agency. Unbelievable! I will obviously fight this and make sure to leave reviews about this everywhere I can. This is no way for any reputable business to operate - horrible lack of communication and downright lying to customers. I am really shocked that I have been treated this way and am sure others are also dealing with same issues. I would NEVER recommend this company. Let's see if they delete this review on their website.
