After 20+ years of excellent service, it is sometimes a challenge "training" a new technician. For these many years, I have always been home when a "new guy" arrived, and I could walk them through the care the house needed (what bugs, where they hid, etc.) This time I was not home, and your email implied I need not be. However, it appears that there were no notes describing what treatments are normally done for my residence. As a result, the new guy did not appear to know what to treat for and where to apply the needed treatments. After only 18 minutes, he completed the treatment which normally took about twice that time (may he was just fast?) Now I find I have to go around the house exterior and treat for the many bugs (particularly ants) that are still thriving.
Recommendation: allow a sheet of historical instructions be available for technicians based on prior service requirements, so they will know what is expected... particularly if it is the first time they service the specific residence.
