Where to begin...I've been a loyal customer for many years and last week I called to inquire what you offered for mice removal. I agreed to a $260 contract for 3 months which covered setting traps and removing any mice found. The man that normally services our home (he's awesome) wasn't the one who came to my house on Wednesday.
Apparently, you send supervisors out for new contracts (that's atleast what I was told). I showed him the 2 areas in my home where we heard mice scratching in the ceiling. One was in the attic in our kitchen where I already had a trap set and had been successfully catching mice for a couple of months now. Just last week my daughter told me she heard noise in the ceiling overtop of her bathtub and this is when I decided to call you for help. The inspector looked in my daughter's bathroom and said no traps could be set up in the vents in the bathroom ceiling and recommended nothing else to me for that area. In the kitchen, he apparently set multiple traps (small ones) in the same spot that I had place one large one a couple of months ago. I showed him where we initially heard the rodent noise when it started which was in the water heater closet. He told me he was going to bring back "box traps" on Monday and place one in our water heater closet in our kitchen and one in our pantry in our kitchen. Within an hour of him leaving my property, one of the traps went off in my kitchen ceiling and it went downhill from there. It was obvious that the mouse had one of his body parts stuck in the trap because you could hear the trap being drug around in the ceiling. The traps he left with us were obviously not big enough to kill the mouse. The trap that I purchased was atleast twice the size of the traps he left in my home. Long story short, my son had to climb up in the crawl space and remove the trap with the "still alive" mouse in it, and take it outside. I guess I realized at this point, you could do nothing more to help me then what I had already been doing for myself in regards to mouse control. I called Thursday morning and asked for the $260 refund because I was very displeased with your service. The person on the phone simply told me she couldn't refund my money in full and the best she could do was charge me $180. I argued with her for 10 minutes and told her I had been a loyal customer for years and I wanted a refund. The best she could do for me was charge me $120. I then told her I wanted my regular pest control monthly service cancelled. I will continue to set large traps out on my own - ones that will kill the mice humanely and not leave them suffering.
