When I describe my experience with Whitworth, my friends they cannot believe it. We had rats. It's a neighborhood problem. We have bait boxes outside and traps in the basement. Came home from. 10 day vacation and the smell was horrid. Dead animal somewhere. Whitworth service person came to the house. Did not find rat. The smell was in the ceiling so I tore down all of the Sheetrock in basement ceiling. No animal. My daughter used her cell phone & took pictures of several hidden spaces in ceiling. The photo showed the rat in a trap left by Whitworth. The trap was not checked when technician was previously here. Another tech came to dispose of rat. I asked that the space be vacuumed and disinfected. No need he said. I have the rat. Enter the flesh flies that arrived from the maggots on the dead rat. Flies were so numerous that you could not see out basement window. The next technician that came was wonderful. Cleaned, vacuumed set up odor bags, searched crawl space, inspected outside perimeter for entry spots, suggested cages be installed on outside vents. Whitworth said I would not be charged for the first visit when the trap was not checked and rat not found. Guess what. I got a bill. Throughout this ordeal, I was not a happy or nice customer, but come on ..... is anyone there competent?
