This was one of the most frustrating and disappointing repair experiences I've ever had with a Termite Company and I've been a real estate professional for over 12 years. I am selling our own house right now. The first set of ML Technicians came to our home to fix a few Section 1 items, one item being a door with identified dry rot at the bottom, and it took the technicians from 8 a.m. - 6:30 p.m. to repair everything and the door was painted the wrong color (dark brown) on the inside of the door and then the technician attempted to fix it by painting the door back to white over the dark brown without primer. Needless to say it was patchy at best and just a mess. The door didn't fit into the door jamb properly leaving a gap large enough to where the bottom door handle wouldn't latch properly. Furthermore, the technician left the home later in the day than was to be expected and left paint chips and dirt from his job all over the bathroom floor inside of the home where he was working. When he finally left, our dog was let out of his crate to use the bathroom and his tail swiped across the back of the door inside, getting white paint all over his tail. These technicians and company had no regard for my own schedule which included a dinner meeting I had and ended up being 1 hr. late for due to their lack of planning and continual mistakes throughout the repair day. Additionally, during their visit yesterday, they kept leaving the side gate open so when I attempted to let our dog out into HIS dog yard to use the bathroom (pre-arranged only 2 times for a 10 hour day in his dog crate with these same Technicians as in "hey, the dog needs to go out to use the restroom so will you need access to the backyard in the next 10 minutes?" "No it's fine..."), the dog got outside to the front yard, unattended for several minutes until the technicians notified me that he was there so that I could secure him safely behind the gate so that he wouldn't run off/get hit by a car/etc. Fast forward to today, they sent technicians back out mid-afternoon in an effort to fix what they hadn't yesterday. They did re-paint and adjust the door, but now the deadbolt is extremely difficult to lock and requires that the door be pushed in in a very firm and specific manner to get the deadbolt to lock. Additionally, today's technicians left the gate opened between the pool and the dog yard so when I let the dog out after I got home, the dog was running around the pool area too (we prefer he doesn't because should he decide to take a swim or fall into the pool not only is it cold, but he will get everything wet when coming back into the house and the paint on the door is still drying). Honestly, when I expressed my displeasure with the Foreman, Paul Loulkes last night, he was quite flippant and rather condescending about my complaints. I will never refer this Termite Company to any of my 1000s of business colleagues, networking partners, clients, friends, family members or other associates. It is a shame because I am a fair, flexible and level-headed real estate professional and customer. Unfortunately, this time I was certainly unimpressed.
