I had a 30 year old home with a bad termite infestation two years ago. We contacted Eco Pest for treatment and another contractor for the repairs. 3/4 of our floor joist had to be replaced and all the while the Eco Pest guys were treating the foundation so the termites could not return.
We were using a vented crawl space systems with fans to vent under the house and still had very high moisture levels.
The Eco Pest team recommended a sealed crawl space system with a dehumidifier. So that is what we went with last year, now our crawl space is very dry all the time.........we have inspections on the whole system every 6 months and quarterly pest treatment inside the house.
With the sealed system, the house is warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer, as we are no longer pulling outside air under the house.
We no longer have any bugs inside the house either (we live back in the woods) near a creek.
These guys are great people and very honest.....I really don't know what else to say. They are the best!
