I'm normally gone when the serviceman comes, but when I do have the chance to see him, he's always attentive to my requests.

One suggestion is that you send the "reminder" (not really a reminder - more of a warning) that the serviceman will be coming the next day. There's no way to get back to you to change it. The call comes AFTER you have left for the day, and the call comes the day before he gets there early in the morning. If I need to change it, I can't, which is probably why you do this way.
