Frost Corvus
Plymouth, NC
I put my trust in this company since they are a household name. My regrets for using Terminix for moisture barrier services are deep. In my opinion this company is disorganized.
My perception of events is that what was said to me verbally was different than what was in the contract. I attempted to get the discrepancies resolved only to be spoken to in a very disrespectful manner by two different employees. One being a manager. For instance when asking why I was charged for low clearance twice the response was “The house didn’t get any taller.” When I asked a manager for an itemized invoice so that I could see what I was being charged for, the response was “Frost, Terminix doesn’t do that.” I had to call the general customer service number for corporate in order to not only get invoices sent to me but also to get copies of my contracts. Which in the end there were three. Three contracts for one job. I have explained that I am willing to pay for the services provided as long as I am not being double billed and if the square footage on my home is corrected. Believe me if this were a matter of a couple hundred dollars I wouldn’t be this upset. But this is a discrepancy of over a 1000 dollars. While speaking to the gentleman who called on behalf of the Regional manager, I attempted to get a dollar breakdown of what was adjusted. When broaching the subject of the square footage he initially would not give me a dollar amount of what was adjusted off if anything. He went into how the job took so long and how they had to send so many techs, etc. I responded with that’s on Terminix for not planning accordingly. That’s not on me. In the end I was given a number that was adjusted but still approximately 400 dollars higher than if they had corrected the square footage on my home. In respect to them, I do believe the initial sales rep was inexperienced. He promised that all crawl space openings would be covered. And that was honored at no additional cost to me. Not to sound petty, additionally, my gate was left wide open after I informed the workers that I was going to feed my dogs and then let them into the backyard to use the bathroom. I checked my gate before going in to tend to my dogs. Then when I went out with my dogs the gate was open. Luckily I didn’t just let them out alone. My Bloodhound is only five months old. She hasn’t been chipped yet. Any dog owners know what kind of disaster this could have led to with that breed. If I were asked for my advice by a friend considering hiring this company, I would advise be careful. You are one person against a national company if something is amiss. Ask yourself before hiring Terminix “Can I afford an attorney if things don’t go as expected?” If your answer is yes then go for it. If it’s no….well draw your own conclusions from my experience. |
