I Awoke Friday morning, 8/4, to a large turtle in my swimming pool. Even though this was my first Wildlife encounter, my first thought was, I can handle this. Have you ever tried to corral a turtle in a pool...it ain't easy. I went to the internet and searched for Orange County Animal Control. They only handle dogs and cats, but they did recommend Nuisance Wildlife Rangers. I called and Travis came out with his net. One hour later, two grown men, a larger net, and a garbage can finally managed to remove a large, angry turtle. Travis did an excellent job, without harming the turtle and relocated it to a large lake where, hopefully, it is happy and has no idea how to find my house again.
