Service has fallen off. When we first signed up for Home Paramount, their service was much better than it is now. Their biggest problem is listening to the customer and making sure the right information gets down to the technician responding to your call. Here's an example. On Home Paramount's advice, we were told not to vacuum up mouse droppings, and if we found them, inform them so that they could respond with a HEPA vacuum. After extensive mouse remediation, we found extensive droppings under a basement sofa. We asked Home Paramount to come out and evaluate the problem, and also asked them to specifically tell the responding technician to bring a HEPA vacuum cleaner. When the technician arrived as scheduled, all he knew was that there was a mouse problem and all he was prepared to do was set a few sticky traps. He had loaned his vacuum to another technician because no one had informed him of the full requirement. After he left, I called Home Paramount to give them another chance to get it right. The customer service person assured me that someone would call me by noon the next day. I gave them the right number to call me directly. Noon came and went with no call. It turns out that the assigned supervisor called the number on the account and not me, so we never got the call. When I called, I got a supervisor who was most apologetic, and we arranged to have someone come out in another day between 10 and 12. Again, I waited and no one came. My wife got a call, again the wrong number, telling us that a technician would be arrive at 5 PM. At least when the technician arrived he was prepared and gave us the service we had requested days prior. It should not have taken three calls, and we should have only had to wait around for one response window and not two. I've been with Home Paramount a long time, however, if we were not moving from the area in a few months, I'd terminate my service and go with someone who listens to the customer. As it is, I'll stay with Home Paramount until we leave. If listening to the customer is a basic part of business, then Home Paramount has a big lesson to re-learn.
