Simply said, Dave is the best at what he does. The appointment itself is straightforward. Dave asks various questions about your riding experience, your riding goals, even the extent of your safe riding knowledge. You'll hop on the bike and get into the proper riding position, initially per Dave's direction, and you'll pedal a few strokes while Dave is measuring and assessing. It's an iterative process that Dave has honed into an efficient experience. While Dave will expertly fit you on your bike, the depth of his knowledge goes well beyond the fitting experience and becomes apparent almost immediately. As I've already alluded to, Dave educated me on the proper and safe group riding technique (where to position my bike within the group, how to create the proper braking area and distance), he's provided guidance on race hydration and nutrition strategies (along with explaining the actual science behind these strategies) as well as numerous other tips and tricks that only Dave could provide. Finally, I highly recommend that you reach out to Dave prior to even purchasing that new bike you have your eye on. I contacted Dave for a fit follow up on my road bike and casually mentioned that I would need to set-up another appointment soon for the tri-bike I was going to purchase. He had me rush over to take my measurements in a tri-bike position so that he could help narrow down the bikes that best fit my body type as it isn't as simple as fitting within the manufacturer's size chart.
