Cody Pest Control is very unprofessional. I would not recommend them to anyone, ever.

Debbie told me it would be $45 for a guy to come out with boxes that would catch “a lot of rats in each box“. I told her we had over a dozen rats in our garage. Great, $45 is very reasonable.

She called me an hour later that she forgot to charge me $65 for the “equipment”. I said well OK but then he’ll just keep coming back until the rats are gone? SHE SAID YES!!!

The man brought 2 black boxes, holding 2 rats each + 3 snap traps = 7 rats. He said his secret bait PECANS was guaranteed to work.

After zero results I called, Debbie informed me then that it would be another $45 to come back to reload the bait. I was shocked, at no point was I told it would be $45 EVERY TIME the guy came out even if his traps did not work. They were all snapped so I reloaded them myself with Cracker Jack and caught 2 rats.

I talked to Laura and explained the above. Instead of making things right, she just kept saying it is their policy to always explain to the customer all of the fees and that nothing is guaranteed. I’m very upset because it was NOT EXPLAINED TO ME AT ALL. I was very nice, I just explained what happened, I said nothing rude, and I did not yell. Laura did not want to discuss it, she made that very clear, said that they would pick up their equipment and hung up.

So I paid $110 to kill 2 rats with my own bait.

At the very least I should have been given one free tech visit. Especially since the equipment brand new only cost $50 at Lowe’s so each person they rent it to pays $65? There is plenty of room in there to have done something for me to make it right. It’s called “customer service“.
