I am a recreational cyclist and like to ride 6-8 century's a year with the usual mid-week and Saturdays rides also. A while back the longer rides became uncomfortable around mile 75 so I figured it was time for a new seat and bike fitting. So I bought a new seat for $165 and a bike fit with a reputable bike fitter for $350 and figured all was good. It was an improvement but I knew there were still issues that prevented my body(and mind) from being comfortable and strong on long rides. So I researched bike fitters and found Dave Jordaan. Within the first ten minutes I was very impressed with his focus on how my body works and fits my bike. Asking questions about my style of riding and how I inner-act with my bike. After 75 minutes he had me adjusted to my bike on a whole new level of fit and performance by explaining proper posture and getting the most out of positioning myself while on the new saddle he recommended. My first ride after the fit with new saddle was like nothing I had experienced before. The comfort was vastly improved and piston power to the pedals was a new feel for me. As with any new set up it takes time to have it be second nature but I have enjoyed the changes Dave made and look forward to even longer endurance rides in the near future.
