We have been a Terminix customer for 10+ years. Each year I do ask the same question. I know the answer, but I ask anyway. We have someone come out every 5-6 weeks to spray for insects. We also have a termite bond along with a contract for a dehumidifier. The termite bond and the dehumidifier require a yearly inspection to keep the guarantee. I completely understand this. Here is what I don't understand. When Terminix comes out (usually in June of each year) they do our 5-6 week insect spray, termite inspection, and dehumidifier inspection all at one time. One this day, we get charged for 3 different service calls. This is as if Terminix had to make 3 different visits to our home. In fact, the Terminix technician guy only makes 1 trip under the house and he inspects for termites while inspecting the dehumidifier, but we get charged FULL price for 2 trips. Once he gets done under the house, he sprays and we again get charged FULL price for another trip. In summary, we pay FULL price for 3 service trips when in fact there is only 1 trip made. I do not mind paying for the service, but it seems that if the customer agrees to have all 3 things completed on the same day, a "combination / discount rate" could be implemented. (In theory, we could request that 3 different trips on 3 different days could be completed since we are paying for 3 different service calls. This would definitely increase the cost on your {Terminix} end). Even at fast food restaurants, you get a better deal when you do the combo instead of ordering each item separately.
