I have a Terminex inspection that includes under the house. Over time I have learned not to trust these inspections. They STRONGLY appear to be a sales opportunity by Terminex, and the inspectors were motivated to sell me on the need for service. I do not view these "inspections" as being done for my benefit, but as a vehicle for Terminex to identify issues so they can sell services. Why do I feel this way? Since this has been going on for many years, I finally decided to test the issues the inspection identified and the need for remedy. I had several crawl space companies inspect my crawl space. Conclusion of all, issues highlighted in the inspection not significant enough to need addressing, and not worth the cost identified by Terminex. I have tried to determine who these inspectors report to in Terminex, but it remains a mystery. I fail to see the benefit of this service.
