You invoicing system is terrible. It describes one cost but includes a running balance on account without explanation and without prepayments made.
I had vapor barrier installed with included debris removal on one contract, but one invoice was for the vapor barrier and a different invoice for the debris removal. None of the invoices described the deposit paid. Additionally the debris removal invoice included the cost of the recent pest control service but did not include that service in the description of the calculation of costs; and that calculation of costs did deduct deposit paid for the vapor barrier installation but this was not in the description. I had to review the contract, look at all the numbers, start adding and subtracting the various numbers in different ways before I could make sense of the amount due.
Finally, your inspection reports also list a cost, thus a customer is sent two separate documents that list costs for a single serive. And is faced with scrutinizing each bill to figure out what is due or wait to receive more documents to see if he is being double billed, and a delay in payment.
All this leads to more delays in payment and my consideration to cancel service. No one wants to go through various documents comparing them to each other, getting out a spread sheet to figure out bills.
