I was pleased with certain aspects of my experience and displeased with others.

The correspondence with everyone in the office; Taylor, the sales person that came out and did the contract; as well as the technician have all been wonderful.

The one aspect with which I wasn't pleased is as follows: We just purchased this property from a lady that had a monthly contract with the same terminix company out of Morehead City, NC. I thought that since it had been under contract for years with terminix that we would be able to assume the service and not have to pay the additional cost of the home inspection/initial service. That was not the case. I was charged $130 for the initial inspection. That's ridiculous!

The property had been treated on December 3rd and Taylor came out on January 4th to set up service. Taylor called his manager or someone and asked if the service could be transferred without the additional inspection cost. He was told no, that since it had been more than 30 days that it would not be possible.

That is just poor policy!
If this had been a locally owned company rather than a large corporation, I believe it wouldn't have been a problem. After all, it had been 32 days and two of those were major holidays.

Would terminix have come out on the weekend. I doubt it.

Also, I wanted to do monthly service, however I was told that a credit card would have to be placed on file for a monthly contract. We simply don't do that and because of that policy, we went with bimonthly treatment.

I feel that these policies need to be reviewed or at least handled on a case by case basis.
